About us - Economics Department
We, the Economics Department of WestLB AG, are a small team within BU Research. Our main tasks include analysing and forecasting macroeconomic trends in the major countries, preparing forecasts on interest rates and exchange rates, and analysing country risk. In addition, we comment on current and fundamental questions of economic policy.
Our analyses and forecasts are made available to clients and the public largely through a variety of publications. A large part of our work involves providing internal and external advice. Within the WestLB Group we inform and advise the Managing Board, other business units, subsidiaries and central steering committees. At special events, workshops and investment committees, but also in our publications, we provide clients with a basis for reaching their investment decisions.
