1. Retailer Cards

To handle the security relevant processes when accepting GeldKarte cards, retailers or vending machine operators need a special retailer card (the so-called “Händlerkarte”) which needs to be present in the vending machine or terminal. These retailer cards integrate a microchip which interacts with the vending machine or terminal. The retailer card is valid for two years (year of issue +2 or +3), after which it has to be replaced with a new retailer card.

WestLB offers you the following services:

• Procurement of retailer cards and mailing to retailers and vending machine operators (possibly also to their branches)
• Retailer card management (expiry, deletion, reordering)

2. Crediting of GeldKarte payments, debiting the authorisation fee

WestLB processes the GeldKarte payments and credits the amounts to the retailer’s account. As an alternative to crediting each individual amount to your account, we can offer you:

• Payment aggregation by reference number
• Payment aggregation by retailer card number
• Payment aggregation by financial institutions

The same keys can also be used to aggregate and report the GeldKarte fees payable.

If you opt for aggregation of the GeldKarte payments and fees as described above, WestLB will supply an electronic attachment (e.g. a CSV file) detailing all items.

3. White Cards
WestLB can make available so-called “white cards” (i.e. GeldKarte cards which are not linked to users’ current accounts)

4. Installation and operation of loading terminals
In cooperation with a network operator, WestLB handles the procurement, installation and operation of GeldKarte loading terminals.
